Scleroderma Qld. visits Blackwater.

During the last five years the Rotary Club of Blackwater has made donations of several thousand dollars to our association’s Research fund.
This tremendous support has largely been driven by our member and Scleroderma warrior John Engwicht who with his wife Sue will be known by some of our long-serving members due to their connection with the Sunshine Coast support group.
Gordon and Richard visited Blackwater on November 11th where we were generously hosted by John and Sue during the brief sojourn..
It was our pleasure to visit a Rotary Club meeting and to present an etched glass plaque to the club as a memento recognising their wonderful support.
We also valued the opportunity to inform members of the club about our illness and the activities of Sclero Qld aimed at educating and raising funds to support ongoing research. Club members were left with a supply of our explanatory books and brochures which they will distribute around the Central Queensland region.
